Sophie Gilkens (°2002, Genk) is a Belgian visual artist whose work focuses on intimate and often hidden themes such as sexuality and mental health. Through staged documentary photography, using a warm and cinematic approach, she reconstructs personal stories to spark dialogue around taboos. Her goal is to take viewers out of their everyday reality and invite them into a space of openness and reflection.
